121 Baker St, Atlanta 404.676.5151
www.woccatlanta.com
COST: $15 adults / $9 children (age 5 - 12) / $13 Seniors (age
55+) / Age 4 and under free with adult
HOURS: Daily 9a - 5p
If you love Coca-Cola or its memorabilia, then you will love this
museum. Though it feels like you are walking through a Coke
advertisement, it really is interesting to see the wide variety of
memorabilia (the largest collection in the world!). Watch a
video highlighting generations of Coca-Cola commercials in the 4D
theatre. Everyone's favorite part is the sample tasting at the
end of the tour. Try over 70 different products from around
the world (and be forewarned that many are an 'acquired taste').
Get discounted admission by purchasing tickets online at their
website.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- The unlimited sample tasting was
definitely a favorite! Even the younger kids enjoyed the
video.
FAMILY FRIENDLY CONS- The price is prohibitive for a family.
The displays really don't keep the kids' interest long as they do
not have an interactive component. Parking is limited
and expensive.
LODGING:

17800 US Hwy 27, Pine Mountain 706.663.2281
www.callawaygardens.com
Wow! A resort-style hotel with upscale accommodations and a
family friendly atmosphere. Walk the beautiful gardens
(there's even a vegetable garden) or visit the Butterfly Center and
walk amongst the fluttering butterflies. Visit the
Horticultural Center, play tennis, or fish. Mom and Dad will
enjoy the two golf courses. Be sure to check out the
demonstrations and classes offered. There is so much to
do on these 13,000 acres of Appalachian beauty! Every member
of the family is sure to find something to do.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS-
Rooms include suites and cottages which work well for a family.
So much to do; everyone is sure to find something that they
love. Friendly staff!

Friendly Travel Tip:
Older children can use time in the car or airplane to
learn a new craft. There are some great books
about learning to knit, crochet and cross-stitch.
Your child will be occupied and have a sense of
accomplishment when they have completed a project by the
end of the journey. |
