HOURS: Stream Walk: Daily from Sunrise to Sunset,
Education Building: Tues - Fri 9a - 5p, Sat & Sun 11a - 5p
Set on 4.6 acres, this nature center has so much to do. The
education building has a good variety of hands-on activities that
allow the children to have fun while learning. Then take a
walk along the stream walk which has windows to see underwater.
There are bird watching stations along the paths as well.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- Well laid out and a great variety
of activities to keep the kids interested. The underwater
windows were a hit!

A must see for horse lovers (and most kids seem to love horses!).
Lots of information and beautiful displays about this popular horse
breed. There is even a hands-on children's area with a variety
of activities.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- Though the children seem to move
quickly from display to display, they did enjoy them. The
hands-on section kept them busy for awhile. And for the price,
you can't go wrong!

Older children can use time in the car or airplane to
learn a new craft. There are some great books
about learning to knit, crochet and cross-stitch.
Your child will be occupied and have a sense of
accomplishment when they have completed a project by the
end of the journey. |
