Amusement park with over 100 rides, plus shows. There is a
separate children's area with rides appropriate for the little ones.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- Good variety of rides to keep everyone
happy.
FAMILY FRIENDLY CONS- Food is very expensive.
If possible, pack a picnic lunch to eat at the car.

This 600 acre living history museum is divided into four
sections; a 1700s farm with indians, a 1850 farm with
pioneers, a 1875 town of Walnut Hill, and a 1900 horse powered farm.
In each area costumed interpreters go about the daily activities of
their time period. Great way to learn history!
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- The interpreters were very informative
and kept the interest of the children. There were some
hands-on activities throughout the facility.

Friendly Travel Tip:
When we travel, we tend to snack instead of stopping for
large meals. In advance, we purchase bags of
chocolate chips, dried fruits, pretzels, cereals and
nuts for each child to create their own resealable bag
of trail mix. A healthy snack that is easily
portable. |
