FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- The
kids have so much fun picking their own fruit. The barnyard
and playground were nice additions.
WOODS HOLE- WOODS HOLE AQUARIUM

HOURS: Tues - Sat 11a - 4p
The Woods Hole Aquarium is actually a research facility. It
features over 140 species; often changing. Besides the
large aquarium tanks, you will find two hands-on "touch tanks" to
gently touch a variety of sea life. You can also go "behind
the scenes" and see the researchers handling the marine animals.
They are usually happy to answer your questions.
FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- The
touch tanks were a lot of fun. It was neat to be able to ask
questions of the researchers.
FAMILY FRIENDLY CONS- Parking is an issue; there is none
on-site. There are a limited number of parking meters in the
area. Your best option is to park at Falmouth and take the
trolley to Woods Hole (call the facility for details). The
tour does not take long; the kids seemed to be done in not
much more than an hour.
